Today, as Ohioans continue to fight to save the Lordstown General Motors plant from shutting down, Trump surrogate Corey Lewandowski will be headlining a fundraiser at the Youngstown Country Club for the Ohio Republican Party.
For Our Future Ohio spokesperson Daniel van Hoogstraten issued the following statement on Lewandowski’s visit:
Thousands of hardworking Ohioans are on the brink of losing their jobs and their financial footing. This tone deaf, country club fundraiser comes in the wake of Trump’s tax law that created U.S. tax incentives for companies like GM to send jobs overseas instead of investing in American jobs and workers. It is a smack in the face of the Ohioans working tirelessly to save the Lordstown GM plant.”
